{"id":6458,"date":"2018-03-09T18:55:37","date_gmt":"2018-03-09T18:55:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/egizia.family\/?p=6458"},"modified":"2018-10-14T09:32:54","modified_gmt":"2018-10-14T09:32:54","slug":"6458-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/egizia.family\/de\/6458-2\/","title":{"rendered":"STRANGERS IN A BOX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Come, look with me inside this drawer,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> In this box I\u2019ve often seen.<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> At the pictures, black and white,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> Faces proud, still and serene.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>I wish I knew the people,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> These strangers in the box.<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> Their names and all their memories<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> Are lost among my socks.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>I wonder what their lives were like,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> How did they spend their days?<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> What about their special times?<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> I\u2019ll never know their ways.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>If only someone had taken time,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> To tell, who, what, where, and when.<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> These faces of my heritage,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> Would come to life again.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Could this become the fate,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> Of the pictures we take today?<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> The faces and the memories,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> Someday to be passed away?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Take time to save your stories,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> Seize the opportunity when it knocks.<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> Or someday you and yours,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em> Could be strangers in the box.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PAMELA A.
